Powering Canada's Digital Future
Who We Are
Gliese is a Canadian company built for a simple reason: the demand for compute is accelerating, and Canada needs the infrastructure to meet it — developed responsibly, and developed at home.
We bring together experts from energy, construction, architecture, engineering, and technology to advise on and plan for the development of digital infrastructure that keeps pace with how fast the world is changing, without losing sight of the communities we engage with.
Why We Began
We started Gliese because we saw two things happening at once: compute demand was accelerating faster than most people realized, and too much of the infrastructure meeting that demand was being built elsewhere — outside Canadian borders, outside Canadian oversight, and often without much thought for the communities hosting it.
We believed there was a better way. A Canadian-owned, Canadian-led approach that keeps data at home, contributes directly to the local economy, and treats the surrounding community as a partner, not an afterthought.
Our Mission
To plan for the development of digital infrastructure Canada needs to compete and grow — responsibly, sustainably, and in genuine partnership with the communities where we operate.
Our Values
Responsibility
We advise on every facility to pursue a reasonable footprint — on the power grid, the water supply, and the neighbourhoods around it — because being a good neighbour isn’t optional to us.
Community
We believe growth should be shared. That means local jobs, local partnerships, and giving back to the communities that host our projects.
Collaboration
Great infrastructure isn’t built by one company alone. We work closely with utilities, municipalities, consultants, and residents at every stage — because the best outcomes come from listening, not just planning.
Innovation
We stay ahead of where compute is headed, so the infrastructure we plan for today is ready for the demands of tomorrow.
Looking Ahead
We’re a young company, but the opportunity in front of us isn’t. As compute demand keeps accelerating, we intend to be part of how Canada meets it.
